Privacy Policy

SS Optimizer ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Information we collect
- Account information. When you subscribe, we collect your email address and, via Stripe (our payment processor), your billing details. We do not see or store your full credit card number.
- Client scenario data. Inputs you enter into the calculator (names, PIAs, ages, life expectancy, etc.) are processed entirely in your browser. We do not receive, transmit, or store this data.
- Usage information. Our hosting provider and Stripe may log basic technical data (IP address, timestamps, browser information) for security and fraud prevention.
2. How we use information
- To provide and maintain the Service.
- To process subscriptions, renewals, and cancellations.
- To send one-time login codes to your email when you sign in.
- To send service announcements about material changes or outages.
- To comply with legal obligations.
3. Sharing
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share limited information with:
- Stripe — for payment processing and subscription management. Stripe's privacy policy is available at stripe.com/privacy.
- Resend — to send transactional email (login codes, receipts). Resend's privacy policy is available at resend.com/legal/privacy-policy.
- Vercel — our hosting provider. Vercel's privacy policy is available at vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy.
4. Client data
Client scenario inputs stay in your browser and are not sent to our servers. If you want to erase them, clear your browser storage. If you download a PDF, the file is generated locally in your browser and only saved wherever you choose to save it.
5. Cookies
We use a single HTTP-only session cookie (ssopt_session) to keep you signed in after login. This cookie is required for the Service to function and is not used for advertising or tracking.
6. Data retention
We retain subscription records (email, billing history) as required by our payment processor and by law. You may request deletion of your account by emailing support@ssioptimizer.com.
7. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information. Send requests to support@ssioptimizer.com.
8. Security
We use industry-standard practices to protect your information, including HTTPS, secure authentication cookies, and reputable service providers. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 18 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
10. Changes
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or via the Service.
